Al Quoz Garages: A Guide to Dubai's Workshop District

By Sara Haddad, Automotive editor · Published 13 June 2026 · Updated 1 November 2026 · 2 min read

Ask a Dubai resident where to get a car fixed and you'll often hear "Al Quoz". The area's industrial zones have a large number of car workshops, from brand specialists to body shops, detailers and PPF studios. This guide explains how to get the best out of it, and points to Dubai's other workshop areas too.

What you'll find in Al Quoz

Workshops in and around Al Quoz offer most car services, including:

Al Quoz isn't Dubai's only workshop cluster. Areas such as Al Qusais, Ras Al Khor, Umm Ramool and Dubai Investments Park also have many garages. You can search them on Car Workshop Finder.

Before you go: five checks

1. Get a diagnosis before a price

A fair quote starts with a diagnosis. Ask what the workshop will check, whether there's a diagnostic fee and whether that fee is deducted if you go ahead with the repair.

2. Get it in writing

Ask for an itemised quote that separates parts and labour, and states whether parts are genuine, OEM-equivalent or aftermarket.

3. Ask about warranty on the work

Under the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020), as quoted by Khaleej Times, a supplier must guarantee the service it provides is free from defects for a period suited to the nature of the service. Otherwise it must refund the consumer, in full or in part, or re-perform the service properly. Ask what warranty the garage gives on parts and labour, and get it on the invoice.

4. Protect your car's warranty

If your car is still under manufacturer warranty, Khaleej Times reported that the Ministry of Economy abolished compulsory dealer-servicing conditions in 2016, provided the work is done at an approved centre. Keep every invoice. See dealer vs independent garages.

5. Check reviews and verification

Look for consistent reviews over time, and see how we verify businesses on Car Workshop Finder.

Getting there

Workshop areas get busy, and parking near popular garages can be tight. Book ahead where possible. If your car can't be driven, a car recovery service in Dubai can deliver it to the workshop. Agree the price and destination before loading.

Before an RTA inspection

Many owners visit an Al Quoz garage for a pre-check before their annual RTA technical inspection, which is required before renewal for most cars more than three years old. Common pre-checks cover tyres, lights, brakes, leaks and warning lights. See our Dubai registration renewal guide and car inspection in Dubai.

Find a workshop

Start with garages in Al Quoz, then widen to all garages in Dubai or brand pages such as Mercedes-Benz garages in Dubai.

What to Do After a Minor Accident in Dubai

A minor bump is stressful, but in Dubai you usually don't need to wait for a patrol. Most minor, no-injury accidents can be reported on your phone.
