How We Verify Businesses
How Car Workshop Finder checks every car business before it is listed, and what the Verified badge means.
A directory is only useful if you can trust what's in it. This is what we check, and what our badges mean.
Before a listing goes live
Every business is checked by a member of our team — whether we added it, it came from a spreadsheet, or the business submitted it itself. We confirm:
- The business exists at that location (Google Maps place, address and area).
- The phone or WhatsApp number works and belongs to the business.
- Opening hours, checked with the business, its own website or its own profile.
- At least one real photo, taken by us or supplied by the business.
- It actually offers the services in the categories we list it under.
Listings that are missing any of these stay hidden until they're complete.
The Verified badge
Verified means the owner or manager has proved they run the business — usually by entering a code we sent to the business's own WhatsApp number or email — and has confirmed the details themselves. Unverified listings are still checked by us, but haven't been confirmed by the owner yet.
Sponsored and Pro
Businesses on a paid plan may appear at the top of category pages, always labelled Sponsored. Paying never changes a business's reviews or rating, and never buys a Verified badge.
Reviews
Reviews come from logged-in customers and are read by our team before they appear. We remove spam, abuse and reviews that aren't about a real experience — but not reviews just because they're negative. Business owners can reply publicly. Ratings are calculated only from reviews on this site.
Spotted something wrong?
Every business page has a "Report incorrect information" link, or use our report form. We usually act within 2 working days.
