Common causes are a refrigerant leak, a faulty compressor, a blocked or damaged condenser, or an electrical fault in the cooling fan or controls. If the AC cools while driving but turns warm in traffic, the condenser or cooling fan is a likely suspect. Get it diagnosed before paying for a refill.

There is no fixed legal interval, but Dubai's RTA advises making sure the AC cools properly before the hot months.
